My first post, “Once Upon A Time” has some of the best information “about me.” I am a working single mom of one kid. It has its own challenges, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I love writing, country music, nature, camping, and road trips (and pretty much any sort of travel).
I have a double Bachelor’s degree in English and Criminal Justice with a minor in Creative Writing.
I have a published children’s book. Future author of a medieval fantasy fiction work.
I am a licensed peace officer in the state of Texas, but I am currently not commissioned (no authority, I don’t carry a gun and a badge but am eligible to be employed by an agency should I continue to pursue said employment and one picks it up).
I have a class A CDL with Doubles/Triples, Tank, and Hazmat endorsements. (I really do miss the open road. If someone would have let me take my kid with me, I would still be doing this.)
Until February, I have a TDLR license (I intend to NOT renew it).
And I am currently teaching under an Intern certificate to be updated to a Standard certificate post May 2024.
I have this thing in me that hears “you can’t do that” and I say, “watch me.” So don’t try me. Please. 😀
